Business Development Director APAC

Then this might be the perfect job for you! We are looking for a stellar Business Development Director who can strengthen and grow our Business Development (BD) department.

The BD department reaches out to brands and agencies across APAC (primarily in Singapore and South East Asia) to help them deliver spectacular influencer marketing campaigns all over the world!

In this position you will be tasked with setting up meetings, participating in them with senior BD members, taking in briefs from clients, and conceptualising influencer marketing campaigns, while working together with leading brands and agencies like Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Dentsu, and IPG amongst many others.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Business Development
    • Research, identify, and generate new leads within targeted accounts.
    • Compile information about target companies and identify key players within these companies.
    • Arrange and run pitch meetings and calls with clients maintaining active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications.
    • Upsell and Cross-sell existing clients and bring in new clients.
    • Maintain a healthy pipeline and ensure delivery of monthly and quarterly sales, margin, and invoicing targets.
  • Prepare campaign proposals
    • Work with the in-house creative team to develop creative ideas and strategies for influencer marketing proposals.
    • Take in campaign briefs from clients.
    • Creative copywriting & Media planning
  • Campaign delivery
    • Working closely with the VP APAC to ensure that the delivery team has all the required technical and labour resources allocated from HQ in Europe.
    • Work with the APAC Client Director to close deals and transfer them to the client servicing team. Ensure high quality of delivery and maintain client satisfaction to improve chances of renewals, upsells, and cross-sells.
    • Maintain an eye on campaign delivery.
  • Team Management and Training
    • Hire and train new BD members across the APAC region.
    • Manage other BD members to either create proposals or drive their own deals.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media and digital technology trends and use these insights to produce better proposals.
  • Improve sales materials including but not limited to sales decks, whitepapers, surveys,etc.

  • 6 -12 years of professional working experience
  • Fluent in English (Native/Professional)
  • A strong network of Marketing professionals on both client-side and agency side in Singapore and SouthEast Asia
  • Existing CRM knowledge (Pipedrive ideally but any other CRM like Salesforce or Hubspot is also fine)
  • Great organisation skills & work ethics
  • Communication skills and empathy
  • Patience and persistence
  • Nice to have: experience in working with companies from B2B sector (media/advertising agencies, startups) or B2C influencers: young talents and creators
